The late former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has returned to Nigeria. 

His body, transported from Germany where he passed away, arrived at approximately 3:39 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, accompanied by their children and siblings, including Prof. Wole Akeredolu, welcomed the remains. 

Notable figures such as Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, and Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbi Talabi, participated in receiving the late Governor’s body.

Additionally, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, House of Representatives member Hon. Gboyega Adefarati, and several Ondo State Executive Council members, including Princess Oladunni Odu, were present at the airport for this emotional occasion.
