The remains of Herbert Wigwe, the deceased CEO of Access Bank, his wife, and son have arrived in their hometown of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State for their final resting place. 

Recall that the trio, alongside Bimbo Ogunbanjo, tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash last month, an incident that sent shockwaves throughout the continent of Africa.

The grief-stricken homecoming was marked by a week of heartfelt tributes from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their respects. 

During the memorial services, attendees shared poignant memories and kind words about Herbert Wigwe, reflecting on his leadership, compassion, and contributions to the financial sector.

The emotional ceremony drew participants from various parts of the country, underlining the widespread impact of the tragedy. 

The bodies of Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and son were repatriated via the International Airport in Port Harcourt, a solemn procession that mirrored the profound loss felt by the community. 

The funeral proceedings are expected to be a moment of both mourning and celebration of the lives of the departed, as the community comes together to bid farewell to a family that left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
