South African expatriates will be the first to exercise their democratic rights this Friday, casting their ballots ahead of the main elections scheduled for May 29.

In the Middle East and North Africa, South Africans residing in Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Syria will visit their respective foreign missions between 07:00 and 19:00 local time to cast their votes. On Saturday, the voting process will expand globally, encompassing South Africans in over 100 countries. This widespread participation highlights the global footprint of the South African diaspora and their ongoing connection to their homeland.
