This marks the second time under Governor Fubara’s administration that civil servants in the state will receive a ₦100,000 Christmas bonus—a sum that exceeds the national minimum wage. Notably, this is the first year pensioners have been included in the initiative.

In a separate Christmas message, Governor Fubara called on the people of Rivers State to embrace peace, unity, and love during the festive season and beyond.

The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence as a means to address the nation’s economic and security challenges. He also reassured Rivers State residents that the coming year would bring new opportunities and lasting fulfillment.
