As anticipation builds for the Final Draw of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda 2024, CAF has revealed a new logo and trophy for the competition.
The unveiling comes just hours before the event, set to take place tonight in Nairobi, Kenya. The revamped look introduces a fresh identity for CHAN, celebrating its deep connections to African football and culture. The newly designed trophy combines sleek, modern elements of gold and silver, symbolizing the tournament’s prestige and growing significance.

A standout feature of the trophy is the 54 distinct lines encircling its design, representing the unity of Africa’s 54 nations. At its core lies a map of the continent, underscoring CHAN’s celebration of diversity and solidarity. Each line serves as a tribute to the passion, skill, and dreams that form the foundation of African football.
The TotalEnergies CHAN 2024, rescheduled for August 2025, marks the eighth edition of the tournament and the first to be hosted in East Africa since Rwanda in 2016. The draw will be held on Wednesday, January 15, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, beginning at 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT / 19:00 Cairo). Fans can watch the event live on CAF’s YouTube channel, CAF TV. Nineteen teams, comprising home-based players, will compete for the prestigious title.
