Liverpool manager, Arne Slot believes Egyptian’s Mohamed Salah is “wise enough to make the right decision” regarding his future at Anfield.

The 32-year-old forward is out of contract this summer and had previously stated in January that this could be his final season with the club, citing a lack of progress in renewal talks. Despite the uncertainty, Salah has been instrumental for Liverpool this season, netting 23 goals and playing a key role in their push for the Premier League title and Champions League success.
With growing interest from Saudi Arabia, particularly from the country’s sports minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal—who described Salah as “a big prize”—speculation about a potential move has intensified.

“Everybody wants him, including us,” Slot stated. “We obviously want him to stay and extend his contract—there’s no question about that. I’m not surprised Saudi clubs are interested, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if other leagues want him too.
“He’s experienced and intelligent. He has made many smart career choices, so I trust that he’ll make the right decision—hopefully one that benefits both him and us.”
Salah’s 19 goals in the Premier League this season have propelled him to seventh on the all-time top scorers’ list with 176 goals, further solidifying his legendary status at Liverpool.
Slot also addressed the futures of captain Virgil van Dijk and right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who are also in the final months of their contracts. While he has engaged in discussions with the trio, he remained tight-lipped on specific details.

“Of course, I speak with these players regularly,” he said ahead of Liverpool’s match against Bournemouth on Saturday. “I don’t talk to them every day like our sporting director, Richard Hughes, but we discuss things quite a lot. It would be unrealistic to say their futures never come up in conversation.
“However, what we talk about remains between us. That applies not only to the three out-of-contract players but to everyone in the squad. Conversations about the future are an ongoing process, but I won’t be discussing them publicly.”
Liverpool fans now await Salah’s decision, hoping the club can convince their star forward to continue his legendary journey at Anfield.
