The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has initiated an immediate review of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination following a wave of public complaints alleging technical glitches, incomplete questions, and unusually low scores.

Over 1.5 million out of 1.9 million candidates scored below 200 out of 400, sparking national concern and social media uproar.

JAMB has engaged experts, including the Computer Professionals Association of Nigeria and Vice Chancellors, to scrutinize the complaints and implement remedial measures if necessary.

Thousands of candidates are preparing to file a class-action lawsuit against the Board over alleged irregularities.

The Minister of Education attributed the mass failure to JAMB’s anti-malpractice technology, while the JAMB Registrar defended the results, citing similar performance trends in previous years.
