Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has announced plans to disburse ₦50 million in grants to 250 persons with disabilities across the country to support their small businesses.
Each beneficiary will receive ₦200,000 to boost their entrepreneurial ventures.
The initiative is part of the Renewed Hope Initiative’s (RHI) Economic Empowerment program, aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable populations.
Additionally, the RHI’s “Flow with Confidence” program will distribute 10,000 packs of sanitary pads to young girls in rural communities to help them stay in school throughout their menstrual cycles.
The programs are designed to complement President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s renewed hope agenda and address pressing social issues, including food insecurity and education.
