Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly told Galatasaray he is ready to join the Turkish champions, effectively to end his Napoli contract.

After weeks of speculation linking the Napoli striker with English heavyweights Manchester United and Liverpool, it appears Galatasaray have emerged as the frontrunner for his signature.
Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba revealed that Osimhen has made it “very, very clear” he wants to leave Napoli and has given the green light to continue his career in Turkey. The 25-year-old previously had a brief loan stint at Galatasaray earlier in his career and is said to be enthusiastic about a return.
Napoli, meanwhile, have struggled to convince Osimhen to remain at the club. Talks are now ongoing between the Serie A side and Galatasaray regarding the structure of a deal that would activate Osimhen’s €75 million release clause.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Galatasaray have submitted an opening offer of €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Napoli are holding firm on their valuation but remain in talks, with reports suggesting Galatasaray’s sponsors are willing to contribute to the financial package to make the deal happen.
Osimhen’s desire to play in the Premier League has long been public knowledge, but no firm offers have yet materialized from England. While Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are also reportedly ready to pay the full release clause, Romano reports they have yet to reach a personal agreement with the player—giving Galatasaray the advantage.

As discussions continue between Napoli and Galatasaray, the Nigerian international edges closer to a potential record-breaking move back to Istanbul, where he could spearhead the club’s Champions League campaign next season.
