The natives mobilized to barricade the road and prevent the land grabbers from accessing the land, leading to an altercation with the police.

The police allegedly fired teargas and live bullets, resulting in the death of one native and injuring two others. The injured individuals are receiving treatment at a hospital in Bwari town.

The councillor representing Byazhin/Kuchibiyi ward, Hon Dogara J. Ahmed, confirmed the incident, stating that one person died and two others were injured.

The FCT police spokesperson, SP Adeh Josephine, attributed the clash to a land dispute and reported that some suspects had been arrested. However, she did not respond to inquiries about the alleged death and injuries.

The police commissioner has condemned the actions of the youths for attacking police operatives and warned that such behavior will not be tolerated.
