The Federal Government has vowed to investigate the tragic death of Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, a news anchor and producer with Arise Television, who was killed in an armed robbery incident at her residence in Abuja’s Katampe district on Sunday.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, described Maduagwu’s passing as regrettable and a grievous loss to her family, colleagues, the Nigerian media industry, and the nation.

In a condolence letter to Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman of Arise News, Idris assured that the government would conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
