The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has removed Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s name from the “No-Fly” list, which was allegedly ordered by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
This decision comes after Senator Natasha accused Akpabio of masterminding a coordinated smear campaign against her, including ordering her passport to be seized at the airport.
According to sources, Akpabio had instructed immigration officials to put Senator Natasha on the list because she often speaks negatively about the Senate during her international travels.
The senator has been vocal about her allegations of sexual harassment against Akpabio and has faced backlash, including her removal as Chair of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs.
Senator Natasha has expressed frustration over the repeated harassment and intimidation, urging authorities to intervene and end the “embarrassment.” Her removal from the No-Fly list is seen as a significant development in her ongoing struggle against Akpabio.
