President Bola Tinubu has announced that four new attack helicopters from the United States will arrive soon to bolster Nigeria’s fight against widespread insecurity.
Speaking during a meeting with a delegation from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at his Lagos residence, Tinubu acknowledged that delays in acquiring military hardware have affected public perception of his administration’s security efforts, noting the government has also approached Turkey for assistance.
In addition to military hardware, the President stated that community and state police will become a reality once the National Assembly completes the necessary legislative work.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring peace, despite the challenges posed by the guerrilla tactics of bandits and insurgents.
