In a new video released by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, a former Vice Chairman of Biu Local Government Area in Borno State, Hassan Biu Miringa, is shown appealing for help alongside another unidentified captive.

The two men, who were abducted on December 17, 2025, while traveling from Miringa to Maiduguri, stated that their captors are demanding a ransom of $150,000 each, for a total of $300,000 (about N423 million).

He also mentioned that some negotiations with the abductors have already taken place.
