Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, MFR, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Senatorial seat of Owerri Zone.
The declaration took place on Wednesday at Achi Autonomous Community in Ezi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area, his country home.
This happened amid a massive gathering of party leaders, stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters.
Speaking, Madumere said: “Owerri Zone deserves experienced, courageous, and people-oriented representation. The time has come to restore the voice of our people at the National Assembly.”
He maintained that he is stepping forward, not just to contest, but to serve, adding that his people must feel the impact of governance, and he is fully prepared to deliver that representation with integrity and boldness.
Madumere also made it clear that his ambition is backed by action, announcing: “By the grace of God and the support of our great party, I will be proceeding to purchase my nomination form. This journey has begun, and it is a journey for all of us.”
