Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, and former Kano governor Rabiu Kwankwaso have formally joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The two former governors completed their defection at the opposition party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Sunday.
The move comes after Obi earlier announced his exit from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), while Kwankwaso had said he was holding “wide-ranging consultations” with the NDC.
