Dangote Refinery has raised the ex-depot price of petrol by ₦75, bringing it to ₦1,350 per litre from the previous ₦1,275 per litre.
The increase takes effect immediately and marks the latest adjustment in domestic fuel pricing. The ex-depot price is the rate at which marketers purchase petrol directly from the refinery before transportation and retail margins are added.
The refinery has not yet given a detailed reason for the hike. Fuel price changes at the ex-depot level typically influence pump prices across the country, as marketers factor in distribution and retail costs.
This is the first major price review by Dangote Refinery since its operations began supplying the local market.
