Nollywood actress Omeche Oko is recovering in hospital after a motorcycle stunt during filming ended in a crash on set.
Oko shared footage of the incident on Instagram Wednesday, June 25, 2026. The clips show her riding pillion with fellow actor Victory Michael for a scene. While navigating the location, Michael struck the metal pole of a vehicle barrier. The impact threw him off balance and sent Oko tumbling onto the ground.
Crew members and other cast immediately rushed to her side as she cried out in pain. She was later taken to a hospital, where the video shows her receiving injections and treatment for injuries sustained in the fall.
In her caption, Oko reflected on the risks actors face to bring stories to life.
“Life is very, very fragile. It could have been a different story, but God said NO. If u see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is Thank You, God,” she wrote.
The post drew an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues. Actress Onyi Alex called her “my baby” and thanked God for her life, while Instagram user xO_joannajordan sent “prayers and love.” Others, including chekwasmichaels and itz_ubah_rebecca, wished her a quick recovery and acknowledged the “struggles behind the scenes.”
Oko has not disclosed the full extent of her injuries, but she ended the video with gratitude for surviving the ordeal.
