Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, a 29-year-old news anchor and producer with Arise Television, was tragically killed in an armed robbery incident at her residence in Abuja’s Katampe district on Monday, September 29, 2025.

The management of Arise TV released a statement confirming her death and commiserating with her family and loved ones.

The Nigeria Police have commenced investigations into the incident, and the management of Arise TV is calling for a speedy investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of the culprits.
