Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections for the Kogi Central senatorial seat.
Bello reportedly picked up the forms on Saturday and has emerged as the party’s consensus candidate for the senatorial district.

He is expected to contest against the incumbent senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in what is shaping up to be a high-profile political battle.
Bello, who served two terms as governor of Kogi State, handed over power to the current governor, Usman Ododo, after completing his tenure.
