Former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has criticised the policies of President Bola Tinubu, describing them as ineffective and detrimental to Nigerians’ welfare.
Aregbesola made the remarks while speaking at the 8th National Convention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja, where he said the party offers a credible alternative for the country.

He argued that recent economic policies have worsened living conditions, citing the depreciation of the naira and rising fuel prices as key indicators of hardship.
The former minister also expressed concern over the state of electricity supply, noting that many parts of the country now experience prolonged outages.
Aregbesola further accused the ruling party of undermining democratic accountability through certain electoral practices.
He maintained that the ADC is on a mission to “rescue” Nigeria by providing a new direction and called on citizens to remain committed to defending democracy and supporting alternative political platforms.
